He began his coaching career in 2009 at the Chertanovo football academy (Moscow) as an assistant head coach for teams born in 1998. In 2013-2016 he worked as a goalkeeper coach at FC Chertanovo (PFL), in 2017-2021 as a goalkeeper coach at the Chertanovo Football Club, as well as a senior goalkeeper coach in the men's and women's departments of the Chertanovo Academy.
In 2021, he became an assistant head coach, goalkeeper coach and analyst at the CSKA Football Club. From the same year to the present, he has held the position of goalkeeper coach in the Russian national women's team.
In January 2022, Vitaly Shadrin was appointed to the post of goalkeeping coach for the Dynamo U-21 women's football club, where he is responsible not only for the training of goalkeepers, but also for standard positions in attack and defense, as well as team and opponent analytics .
On December 23, 2022, he was appointed to the position of goalkeeper coach for the main team of the Dynamo Football Club.
