The author of the only goal against Spartak (1:3) summed up the results of the meeting of the 2nd round of the final stage of the Youth League.
— In the second half, we pressed close to our goal, did not attack or put pressure on, which is why we got the second goal. Then we didn’t have time to collect ourselves and the second ball flew in, also chaotic.
— Did you expect Spartak to start pressing so hard after the break?
— Yes, we expected it. The coaching staff set us up for this. After the goal was scored, we felt the game, started attacking more, and in principle there were a lot of chances in the first half. The last pass in the final stage was missing to score.
I’ll repeat – we went into the second half charged, but in the first minutes we sagged, lost the game and failed to score.
— What do you need to work on more to avoid such second halves?
— More work needs to be done in the final stage. We need goals because in recent matches we have scored very few goals and conceded a lot. This is what we will work on.
