The blue-and-white team missed the victory at the very end of the match in Samara (2:2)
On Saturday morning, the women's youth team "Dynamo" met with the team "Wings of the Soviets" in Samara. The meeting in the first round in Novogorsk ended with a victory (1:0), thanks to our girls. In that game, Daniela Petrova scored the only goal, confidently converting a penalty kick.
Today, a whole squad arrived to help from the main team – Svetlana Eliseeva and Milena Nikitina, as well as Daniela Petrova, Arina Taranchenko, Taisiya Razvorotneva and Ekaterina Sergeeva, who are nominally listed in the youth team, but have been training under the guidance of the head coach of the Dynamo WFC main team, Sergey Lavrentiev, for a long time.
Our girls started the match more actively than the home team, managing to create pressure near their opponents' goal. But they managed to create a truly dangerous moment only in the middle of the first half. The ball after Nicole Greuli's shot went next to the post.
In the 33rd minute of the meeting, Mikhail Kobyakov made the first substitution, which was again forced. Instead of Varvara Demidova, who got injured after getting hit by the ball in the head, Ulyana Ryzhikh came on
In the second half, our girls took the field with the same lineup as before the whistle.
In the 50th minute, the opponents made their first shot on goal, but Arina Taranchenko handled it without any problems. A couple of moments later, however, the blue-white goalkeeper could not help her team. The uncoordinated actions of Dynamo players in defense led to midfielder Ekaterina Dianova from Wings of the Soviets finding herself in a deadly position and scoring without a chance for our goalkeeper.
After conceding a goal, Dynamo made its first substitution after the break. Valeria Azeeva entered the game instead of Svetlana Eliseeva.
In the 62nd minute, Ekaterina Sergeyeva was stopped in the penalty area of Wings with a violation of the rules, and chief referee Yulia Veselova pointed to the spot. Katya herself approached the ball. The shot was powerful, centering and hitting the underside of the crossbar, and the score on the board became equal — 1:1.
A little later, after a prolonged attack by our girls, Anastasia Orlova decided on a long-range shot, which we know is quite a weapon. It turned out to be beautiful and accurate, but the goalkeeper of Samara women, Alina Pogosyan, rose up in a beautiful jump and redirected the ball to a corner kick. But in the next attack, no one could stop Orlova. Again, a long-distance shot, and on the scoreboard the coveted 2:1 in favor of Dynamo!
Only the joy was short-lived. In the 86th minute, Dianova was back in a scoring position and scored twice against Dynamo, tying the score of this game.
The final score was 2:2 — an outcome that was unlikely to satisfy either team.
