Ksenia Skotnikova did not stand on ceremony in the fight for the ball with the Spartak players
The first ever derby between the women's youth teams Dynamo and Spartak ended in favor of the red and white (1:3).
Moscow Spartak is another serious test for the youth Dynamo. The team, which was a dark horse before the start of the season, shot in the preliminary stage, confidently advanced to the second round, where it is already showing good football - in the first round, the red-and-whites beat strong Rostov at home with a score of 3:1.
But Dynamo immediately got a champion - the meeting with the capital's CSKA, although it ended in favor of the army team (3:1), however, left mixed feelings. An unsuccessful first half and a confident second half gave us hope that our team would then gain momentum and start playing its own brand of football.
The starting lineup included Taranchenko, Senoyedova, Volobueva, Golubeva, Orlova, Greuli, Kolesnikova, Yakovenko, Bagautdinova, Skotnikova and Razvorotneva. From the first minutes it was a double-edged game with numerous approaches to the goal, but these moments did not yet lead to goals. And yet, the guests were more acute at first, actively using the flanks and escalating the situation in the Dynamo penalty area.
The Spartak coaching staff called on their players to control the ball, and by the tenth minute the red and whites received this same control. The blue and white responded with confident actions in the opposing half of the field, but so far it has not worked in the final stage of the attack - there was no last pass, no last pass. The most active was the left flank, where Senoyedova and Skotnikova played; it was from them that the main threat to Diana Novikova’s goal came.
Yakovenko had two promising chances, and both times Kristina shot above the goal, although it was really dangerous. The guests responded with a one-on-one, but Taranchenko confidently secured the ball. The game finally opened up, and it seemed that the question of scoring goals was only a matter of time.
In reality, everything was not so simple. Both teams played well in defense, and the goalkeepers did a great job of insuring the defenders. Perhaps the main moment of the half was from the same Yakovenko, who in the 25th minute actually went one on one, threw the ball over the Spartak goalkeeper, but the ball missed the post by just a few centimeters.
But the goal still took place, albeit against Dynamo. Kuleshova handled the ball well, made a brilliant pass into the penalty area, where Kholmatova headed it in - 0:1. The red-whites, having received a powerful boost of confidence, ran forward and threatened Arina Taranchenko’s goal more than once.
Towards the end of the first half, the hosts became more active and began to play much faster. And this useful aggression bore fruit. In the 43rd minute, Dynamo earned the right to a penalty kick. Orlova approached the point and accurately shot into the right corner – 1:1.
The opponents went into the break with the score tied.
Anastasia Orlova just leveled the score with a precise strike from the penalty kick
The guests spent the beginning of the second half more actively. Spartak took a series of corners, and also settled tightly in the blue and white penalty area. It was necessary to move the game away from our goal and gradually we managed to do this. However, the red and white were still sharper. At the same time, our team also had its moments, but execution let us down. And we were sitting too deep in our half of the dynamo, there weren’t enough resources for full-fledged attacks, we had to wait for the others to connect.
Unfortunately, the activity of the guests again yielded results. After another set piece near Arina Taranchenko’s goal, the ball found Cardamonova’s head, and the score became 1:2 in favor of Spartak. The Dynamo coaching staff freshened up the game by sending Linnikova and Guskova onto the field, but almost immediately the blue and whites conceded the third goal, missing the lone Petrunkina, who took a well-aimed shot from afar - 1:3.
It should also be noted that Taranchenko saved her goal several times. Just look at the save in the 70th minute, when Arina prevented a one-on-one situation and made a great save.
The Dynamo team tried and made every effort, but they could not win back. The first ever Moscow derby between Dynamo and Spartak at the level of women's youth teams was left to the red and white.
