Kamilla Abashilova in the match against Chertanovo
The defender of Dynamo — about the match against Chertanovo, being included in the symbolic team of the Super League and 50 games for the blue-whites.
— In the last three matches, Dynamo scored seven points out of nine possible. Can we say that the game is gradually getting better?
— Of course, we are glad that the unsuccessful streak is in the past and we started winning. At this crucial stage of the season, it's especially important. However, there are still several matches ahead where we need to give our best.
— Last week, Dynamo brilliantly beat Chertanovo (2:0). Was it a special game for you? Does something inside you get hooked when you return to the place where you once started your career?
— In a way, yes, the game was special. However, to a greater extent, I felt it two years ago when Dynamo played only in the Youth League.
Now I take it calmly, as a lot of time has passed. It was just nice to meet the girls from Chertanovo, whom I have known for more than one year. And Chertanovo is the place where my whole childhood passed.
— We had to play with ten players for the entire second half of the match against Chertanovo. However, it was the post-break game that was more coherent and sharp. What did the coach say during the break? How did he reconfigure you?
— Everyone understood the seriousness of the moment, as well as the fact that we needed to win at any cost. This is what Sergey Nikolayevich told us during the break.
The main thing was not to deviate from our game, act calmer and look for our moments to score. And that's exactly what happened.
— By the way, after the game with Chertanovo, you were included in the symbolic team of the Super League tour. How would you rate your performance?
— I'd say I played okay, although, of course, not perfectly. But it was nice to be included in the Super League team of the tour.
— It's clear that the injured players are sorely missed. How does this factor affect the mood and preparation for matches? Do you feel additional responsibility?
— Of course, we miss the injured girls. However, during the match, we don't think about it — we need to play with those who are available. We are one team and we play also for the injured. At the same time, we always want to win.
Kamilla Abashilova is one of four WFC Dynamo's football players who have played more than 50 matches for the white-blues

— Last week, right before the match against Chertanovo, you and Sveta Eliseeva went to Chertanovo and remembered where you started playing football. Did you feel nostalgic?
— Of course, we did, because, as I've already said, we spent our whole childhood there. We visited the very same court where we first took our first steps in football. It's right next to our houses, and we used to spend all our free time there.
— At the game with Yenisey, you were presented with a commemorative jersey in honor of 50 matches for ZFK Dynamo. What does this milestone mean to you?
— Honestly, it was quite unexpected to receive such a gift. At the same time, it's very nice, thank you so much to the club for the jersey and for honoring me and the other girls. The next milestone is 100 matches, I will strive for that.
— Since we're talking about 50 games, can you tell me about your most memorable game for Dynamo?
— The game that immediately comes to mind is the youth team match two years ago against Zenit (3:2), when I scored my only goal for Dynamo so far. It was very emotional, because the goal turned out to be the winning one! The game is deeply engraved in my memory
If we take the Super League, it's the recent game with Lokomotiv at the RZD Arena, as well as last year's match with CSKA when I first started in the Super League. I remember being very nervous.
— The championship is nearing its end, there are only five matches left. How would you describe this season?
— I think we should come back to this question at the end of the season. It's too early to say.
— What needs to be done in the remaining games to give your best and try to score as many points as possible?
— We just need to have a clear understanding that we need to win all the matches. We need to make every effort, go beyond ourselves and win.
— Your most vivid memory from the 2024 season?
— Probably the match in Ryazan, when we snatched victory in the last seconds, losing during the meeting with a score of 0:2. That was really great! Also, I can't help but mention the home match against Lokomotiv, which we won 3:0.
— Ahead of us is the final of the Winline Cup of Russia. Who do you think will win the trophy this year?
— I think it's going to be CSKA. At least, they will have the psychological advantage — after all, they are the winners of the last two tournaments. Meanwhile, Loko is also on a roll, so the match promises to be interesting.
The next match of the WFC Dynamo will take place on October 12, when the blue-whites will host Ryazan-VDV in Novogorsk in the 22nd round of the Superleague.
