Forward for Dynamo — about the training camp in Turkey with the Russian national team and her first goal for the national team, the upcoming Moscow derby against CSKA, as well as her mindset for the rest of the season
The other day you returned from Turkey, where you had a training camp with the Russian national team. Tell us how it went.
It was a good and productive training camp. We played two matches against decent opponents, especially Haiti. I'm really happy that I scored my first goal for the national team.
- How was the weather?
- The weather was great, +27 degrees. Probably 30 in the sun. We even managed to go swimming in the sea. It was easy to adjust to the heat after our cold weather. In terms of acclimatization, it was more difficult going back from Turkey to Moscow.
- You stood out in the match against Kenya. How did that game go?
- Overall, we dominated throughout the whole game and had more control over the ball. We managed to score four goals and, overall, the game went really well.
The second match was tougher, since Haiti is a World Cup participant. But it's good that we won, it gave us a positive boost.
- There's a match coming up against CSKA. What do you think about the opponent?
|— CSKA is a very strong opponent, currently sitting in second place in the standings. I think it will be an interesting game for both players and fans. We are preparing for this meeting.||— The match will take place on natural turf. Is it difficult to make such a transition after playing on synthetic turf?||— I think it'll be a bit difficult, after all, the opponents train on this field and are already used to it. We train on artificial turf and have to abruptly switch to natural turf — that's more challenging. Plus, weather conditions still matter.||— CSKA has the best defense, with only 4 goals conceded. Is it possible to score against this team?||— Of course, it's possible. In general, it's quite possible to score against any team. Everything will depend on us.||— What should be the main focus when preparing for the match against CSKA?||— I think on team interactions and, of course, on defense and attack.||— You already mentioned weather conditions. How do training sessions go in such weather?||— It's cool, feet and hands get cold. However, if you run faster, you'll get hot (laughs).||— The season has reached the home stretch. How is the mood in the team?|
Overall, the mood is combative. We need to take our points and win all three matches to end the season on a high note. We will make every effort for this
