Lamunat Mustafayeva: “The match with Zvezda 2005 was most memorable”

— In the Winline Russian Cup 1/8 final match with the Football Academy, you scored the first goal for Dynamo, and what a goal! Tell me how it all turned out.

— The girls saw my opening, I received the ball, but, to be honest, I didn’t think about shooting. I wanted to pass the ball so that someone would score from my pass, but in the end I decided to try to shoot with my left foot - and the ball flew into the goal. This is great! Hopefully there will be more goals in the future.

— How did your teammates and coaches congratulate you?

— Everyone congratulated me, they said well done, we need to try more often, shoot more often, and also that the goal turned out to be beautiful.”

— What impression did you leave with the Football Academy, against whom you played in the First League final last season?

— To be honest, I expected a more difficult game, but I can’t say that it was easy. However, if you compare the game with the “Football Academy” in “Donchanka” and “Dynamo”, it is clear that with “Dynamo” it was much easier - the level of the girls is higher. In fact, at the beginning I was scared, but when I entered the field, I calmed down, especially since we were leading.

— What did the coach say before letting you onto the field?

— Sergei Nikolaevich said to use all opportunities, open up, climb on your own and strike.

— How do you feel in the team after six months?

— Wonderful! The girls are very good, absolutely each one supports me, helps me, gives me advice. I’m very glad that Dynamo has such a team. It’s easy for me to communicate with girls, I’m on good terms with everyone.

— Was it difficult to make a professional transition from the First League to the Super League?

— In fact yes. Here the exercises are different, not only for physics, but also for thinking. It wasn't easy.

— But have you already fully adapted to the Super League?

— Yes, I’m already used to it, everything is fine.

— Tell us about your feelings about the Super League.

— Of course, you can’t compare it with the First League. A lot of things are different here, the teams are much stronger, the speeds are different, you need to think differently on the field. I like everything.

— Which matches were the most memorable?

— Absolutely every match. But of those that I remember most, this is, of course, the game with Zvezda 2005, when I was in the starting lineup. I didn't expect it at all! Before the match I was a little relaxed, but when I found out that I would start in the first minutes, it was very unexpected.

I hope I showed a good game, the main thing is that the team won. We tried to fulfill the requirements of the coaching staff.

— The second round of the Super League is ahead, the decisive part of the season. What needs to be done to compete for the highest places?

— Give your all on the field, in every training session. The main thing is to follow the instructions of the coaching staff, then everything will go for the better. We will try to win every match.

— After the cup match in Tambov, the team received several days of rest. How did you spend this time?

— It was hot, I didn’t go for walks, I mostly stayed at home. She never left Moscow.

— The Euro 2024 finals are ahead. Who's your favorite?

— Of course, I watched the matches, but not all of them. After the elimination of my beloved Portugal, I began to briefly follow the championship.

Who will win in the final? I don't dare say. It is possible that Spain and England will play each other in the main time, there will be extra periods and a penalty shootout.
