Maria Galay: “We expect an unyielding fight in every part of the field”

— What is the team's condition after the defeat in St. Petersburg?

— The team is in a fighting spirit and is not going to give up. It was an offensive defeat in St. Petersburg, which, naturally, is not entirely pleasant. However, this is not a reason to stop and not continue the fight. We still have to show class and defend the honor of the club.

— You recently met Lokomotiv in the Winline Cup of Russia. What kind of game are you expecting now?

— We are expecting a similar match, an unyielding fight in every part of the field. The game is very important for both teams, three points are at stake, which both we and our opponent need. And Loko, of course, will not give up theirs just like that.

— You spent several seasons at Lokomotiv and know this team well. Has their game changed tactically?

— Like any team, they are improving, they have become more in control of the ball, play low, pass to the third. If the pattern of the game has changed, it has changed for the better.

— Will this be a special match for you?

— I think so. First of all, because we will play at the RZD Arena. I have said many times that it is very pleasant to play at such stadiums, it gives additional strength and improves the quality of football.

A couple of years ago, Lokomotiv played at the RZD Arena quite often, and now they are returning there again. This is also an important motivation for them – to prove with their game that they can play at the main stadium as often as possible.

— And the transition from synthetics to natural grass?

— Of course, this has its own nuances, first of all, in terms of getting some micro-injuries. However, we play on natural grass and must try, give our best. Naturally, playing on grass is always pleasant: both the feeling of the legs and the injury rate are completely different.
