Mikhail Kobakov: "Zenit" caught us on our own mistakes.

— The match started very poorly for us - we immediately made a gross mistake in our own penalty area, for which we received a goal. Due to this, plans for the game have shifted slightly. After conceding the goal, we sagged psychologically to a certain extent, it was a blow, the girls were confused and could not take the initiative into their own hands. At the same time, Zenit applied quite high pressure and subsequently repeatedly caught us in our own mistakes, which led to the second goal.

We weren’t very happy with the game in the middle of the field, where there was quite a bit of movement and a lot of losses, so we made two substitutions at the break. In the second half, we asked the girls to let go of the score a little and play active, aggressive football. We created a number of chances, something began to work out, but this active play freed up space for Zenit in our half of the field, and the opponent’s fast players periodically took advantage of this.

In general, the second half turned out to be double-edged – both teams had opportunities. Unfortunately, we didn’t score, although we wanted to save face and show character.
