Galina Geibieva (№18) accepts congratulations on her hat-trick against Sochi
In the fourth round of the Youth League, the blue and whites beat Sochi (7:0).
It so happened that by the match of the 4th round of the Youth League, the Dynamo youth team, having six points to its credit, did not win a single home victory. Both times the blue and white won away: first in Moscow they beat Strogino big time (4:1), and then in Sochi they confidently defeated the local youth team (2:0).
The next opponent in line is, like a week ago, a team from the south of Russia. Sochinki, debutants of the tournament, do not have any victories or goals scored, but they have plenty of desire, motivation and will to play.
However, the Dynamo team intended to score another three points and bring themselves closer to getting into the first group at the second stage of the Youth League, which provides the opportunity to compete for medals. It was with this attitude that the Dynamo players took to the field.
This time, the youth football players were helped by Shchervyanina, Malesiya, Petrova and Geibieva, together with Volobueva, Senoyedova, Greuli, Demidova, Yakovenko, Kolesnikova and Razvorotneva, they were in the starting lineup.
As expected, the Dynamo team took the initiative, played first and the first goal was not long in coming. Already in the 6th minute, Galina Geibieva scored, catching the visiting defense in a mistake – 1:0. The Sochinki settled tightly in their own half of the field and rarely ventured beyond the center line, so the opponent’s defense was under a lot of strain. As in the first game in Sochi, Shchervyanina had practically no work to do, and Nastya made her first touch of the ball only in the 13th minute, when Malesia pulled back under pressure from the southerners.
The blue and white over and over again accelerated the attacks and escalated the situation at the Sochi goal - by the middle of the first half, it seemed that the entire offensive line was marked with targeted attacks, but, unfortunately, many lacked accuracy. But Geibieva took full advantage of her chances, and in the 18th minute Galya scored a double, scoring with her head!
Despite the more than comfortable advantage, the hosts did not calm down and continued to strain Sochi goalkeeper Vladimirova, but their execution often let them down. Just look at the moment of Daniella Petrova, who went one on one, beat the goalkeeper, but let the ball go too far out of bounds. But Taisiya Razvorotneva worked her episode one hundred percent: Tasya received a cool pass from the right flank from Petrova, Vladimirova unsuccessfully parried it, and Dynamo number 57 literally put the ball into the net - 3:0.
The game was already done in the first half. The guests did not even have the prerequisites to try to organize a dangerous attack, so the only question on the agenda was how many blue and whites would score in the end.
Towards the end of the first half, Geibieva powerfully hit the crossbar and was just a little short of a hat-trick. However, the score was already more than convincing – 3:0.

During the break, the Dynamo coaching staff made two substitutions: Makarova and Shilnova replaced Volobueva and Kolesnikova. The game calmed down, the score allowed us to act more meaningfully and play positional football. At the same time, sometimes there were bright flashes. One of these was the miracle goal of Varvara Demidova, who powerfully shot from outside the penalty area and literally “pierced” the Sochi goalkeeper - 4:0. The scored goal seemed to give our players a new impetus - the blue and whites ran forward even more actively in the hope of hitting the opponents' goal several more times.
The most dangerous moment in the guests' performance happened in the 64th minute, when the Sochi attack group ended up in the Dynamo penalty area, but due to the confusion the shot was never delivered, and Malesia did a great job in defense.
Geibieva was getting closer to a hat-trick, and the third ball from Gali still crossed the visiting team’s goal line, but a second earlier the referee had ruled it offside. And yet, after a minute, Geibieva achieved the three-goal mark - this happened after an elegant flank pass from Yakovenko. 5:0 – and that’s already a death sentence!
In the remaining 20 minutes, Ryzhikh, Koryakovtseva and Galits received playing time, replacing Petrova, Greuli and Razvorotneva. Thus, the blue and white coaching staff solved several problems at once in this match: in addition to a major and bright victory, the reserve players had the opportunity to spend a considerable number of minutes on the field.
The icing on the cake was a long-range goal by Valentina Senoyedova, who moved from the left flank to the center and struck powerfully, as well as a goal by Kristina Yakovenko, who completed the pass to Koryakovtseva!
As a result, the match turned out to be productive and interesting: Dynamo won a big victory, did not concede and finally secured second place in Group D.
The next stop is St. Petersburg, but it will be a completely different story.
