The meeting of the 1st round of the Youth League ended with a confident victory for the blue and white (4:1).

The Dynamo youth team opened the new season of the Youth League in Strogino with a match against the team of the same name. It is curious that it was against Strogino and precisely at the Yantar stadium that the blue and white played the final meeting of last season (a goalless draw), so the beginning of the new championship looked extremely symbolic - against the same opponent.

By the way, Strogino was included in the same group with Dynamo based on the results of the draw, which took place in early March. Two more teams from Quartet “D” – “Zenit” and “Sochi”, at the first stage the clubs will play 6 matches (home and away), after which they will go to the second round.

However, here and now there was only one question on the agenda - how to beat Strogino. On the eve of the meeting, Dynamo head coach Mikhail Kobyakov said that in preparation he was mostly based on the last season, because it was too early to judge the updated opponent. At the same time, the fact remains: Strogino was significantly updated in the off-season.

The starting lineup on the Yantar field included Shchervyanina, Gnennaya, Malesiya, Volobueva, Greuli, Petrova, Orlova, Azeeva, Yakovenko, Razvorotneva and Mustafaeva. Volobueva led the team with the captain's armband; this season it is Arina who serves as the captain; she will be assisted by Ulyana Ryzhikh and Nicole Greuli (vice-captains).

Five players at once - Gnennaya, Malesiya, Volobueva, Razvorotneva and Mustafaeva - made their debut for Dynamo in the Youth League, two more newcomers, Arina Gunina and Anastasia Linnikova, made their first appearance in the blue and white youth team.

During the pre-match setup, the Dynamo coaching staff focused the team’s attention on playing first, controlling the tempo and rhythm. The first minutes of the match passed in an equal fight with a slight advantage for the guests, but there were no dangerous moments yet - the opponents were keeping an eye on each other. The Dynamo team even scored a goal, but the line referee called it offside.

The blue and white were gaining momentum, finally seizing the initiative, and these efforts bore fruit - in the 10th minute, taking advantage of an error by the hosts' defenders, Daniela Petrova opened the scoring in the match.

The Strogino players spent most of the time in their own half of the field and tried to catch the guests on counterattacks, but the Dynamo defense acted clearly and harmoniously. However, the same can be said about the attack, where Yakovenko, Azeeva and Razvorotneva played well. In one of the episodes, Christina almost scored a masterpiece goal, but the ball thrown over the goalkeeper went very close to the post. A couple of minutes later, Petrova hit almost point-blank, but the ball hit Daria Poletakhina.

The first truly dangerous moment at Shchervyanina’s goal occurred in the 28th minute, when the Strogino forward ran down the right flank and took a well-aimed shot, but Nastya parried the shot. In the response attack, perhaps the most active player of the first half, Kristina Yakovenko, scored and achieved her goal - a long-range cross led to the second goal scored.

The situation on the field did not suit the Strogino coaching staff, and even before the break the hosts made a substitution. The bright lime green (and this is exactly the uniform the opposing field players wore in the match) had several approaches to the blue and white penalty area, but each time the Stroginin strikers got stuck in the tenacious defense of the Dynamo players.

Apart from a couple of corner kicks, the guests allowed the hosts virtually nothing in the first half. As a result, there is a natural advantage in the form of two goals scored.

In terms of gameplay, the second half became a continuation of the first - one team continued to attack, the other also defended. Literally in the second attack, Razvorotneva was at the forefront, who almost completed Petrova’s pass, but Tasya was beaten by the hosts’ goalkeeper.

Once again, the defense of the blue and white should be noted - Dynamo’s defenders not only defended well at the bottom, but also won almost all of the high-flying duels, and the guests felt much more confident in such vertical football.

By the 68th minute, the Strogino coaching staff had made four substitutions, while the Dynamo team had made none. The game was going on, and Mikhail Kobyakov was in no hurry to make adjustments to the properly working mechanism. However, a goal missed literally out of nowhere forced the visiting coach to intervene in the game - Senoyedova and Kolesnikova immediately entered the field. The Dynamos started up even more, in the next attack Azeeva went one on one, but shot right at the goalkeeper, although the chance was one hundred percent.

The temperature in the game increased, and emotions began to go off scale. The hosts stopped Razvorotneva several times with force; in one of the episodes, a skirmish almost broke out, but Tasya diplomatically avoided the showdown, but her opponent received a “mustard plaster” for excessive expression.

The question of the winner was finally removed by Yakovenko, who went through almost the entire Strogino defense, beat the goalkeeper and rolled past two defenders into the far corner. And Mustafaeva put an end to the match by finishing off Yakovenko’s cool long-range serve. 4:1 – and this is already a defeat!

The Dynamo team led the game from the first minutes and won a natural victory. Our youth team is starting the new season of the Youth League more than confidently!
