Taisiya Razvorotneva surrounded by Zenit football players
The meeting in Novogorsk ended with a major victory for the guests from St. Petersburg (4:0).
The match of the 2nd round of Dynamo was played against one of the favorites of the Youth League - Zenit St. Petersburg. Last week, the blue-white-blues left no stone unturned against tournament debutant Sochi, scoring ten unanswered goals on their field, so the game promised to be extremely difficult.
This time the youth team received reinforcements from the core in the person of Arina Taranchenko, Tanya Malesia and Kamilla Abashilova, all of them started. Also, from the first minutes, Volobueva, Greuli, Demidova, Orlova, Gnennaya, Azeeva, Razvorotneva and Yakovenko appeared on the field of VTB UTB “Novogorsk-Dynamo”.
The beginning turned out to be discouraging. Less than two minutes had passed before the guests opened the scoring, taking advantage of a mistake by the blue and white defense - Daria Sorokina received a cutting pass into the penalty area from Darina Ishmukhametova, where no one was holding her, and calmly shot into Arina Taranchenko's goal - 0:1.
The scored goal gave the anti-aircraft guns confidence, they took the initiative and settled tightly in the Dynamo half of the field. In the 13th and 14th minutes, the opponent had chances to increase the advantage, but Taranchenko came to the rescue both times.
Zenit's flanks were very active; on the left the main threat came from Aleshina, on the right from Fedishina. In the center, the game was led by Ishmukhametova, who almost scored her team’s second goal, but her shot fell right into the hands of Taranchenko, and Arina showed her class again!
But in the moment with the second goal, Arina, unfortunately, could not help out. The defense misfired again, Sorokina got the ball, and Zenit’s number 41 scored a double, sending the ball into the far corner of the goal – 0:2. And then almost immediately she scored the third goal, finally eliminating the question of the winner of the match.
The result of the first half was disappointing: the opponents did not allow Dynamo to do anything in their half of the field and went into the break with a comfortable advantage (3:0).
Anastasia Gnennaya in a fight with Zenit midfielder Elena Golik
The team needed to make changes to the game, and two fresh players came on for the second half - Polina Kolesnikova and Ksenia Skotnikova replaced Demidova and Azeeva. And I must say that the attack of the blue and white sparkled with new colors!
Almost immediately after the break, Yakovenko had a good chance, but Kristina got entangled in the palisade of legs of the Zenit defenders, and the episode was played out. But the guests used their next chance to the fullest, and again Daria Sorokina scored with a poker goal - this time she scored from the right flank.
The Dynamo coaching staff decided on two more replacements: Valentina Senoyedova and Anastasia Linnikova replaced Volobueva and Orlova.
The blue and white had the most real chance to score in the 61st minute, when Kolesnikova put up a great fight in the center, rolled Yakovenko to the free spot, but Kristina hit straight at Zenit goalkeeper Violetta Isaikina.
The opponents threatened the Dynamo goal more than once, but Arina Taranchenko made incredible saves over and over again. At the very end, Gnennaya and Linnikova tested Isaykina’s reaction with tight long-range shots, but the visiting goalkeeper made no mistakes in this match.
As a result, Zenit won a very confident victory and secured first place in Group D. The Dynamo team temporarily remained second (the match between Sochi and Strogino will be played on Monday, April 29).
