Dynamo football players celebrate scoring a goal
The meeting with the debutant of the Youth League ended with a confident victory for the blue and white (2:0).
The Dynamo youth team played the match of the 3rd round of the Youth League against the debutant of the tournament - ZhFK Sochi. The meeting was held at home, but the south of Russia did not greet the blue and white team very hospitably - with cool and rainy weather.
At the moment, the Sochi team is the main outsider in Group D: after two matches, they have not a single win, and also zero in the “goals scored” column. But the opposing team has good friends: Alexandra Shevchenko, who plays in Sochi on loan, as well as Annabelle Kipasa Maniki, who has experience playing for the blue and white junior team (season 2022). Both, by the way, were in the starting lineup.
Due to injuries received in the previous match with Zenit, Valeria Azeeva and Anastasia Gnennaya could not take part in the game with Sochi. By decision of the medical headquarters, they missed the meeting. Mikhail Kobyakov had to look for new combinations in midfield, and the blue and white team entered the field of the Academy of FC Sochi with the following lineup: Shchervyanina, Volobueva, Ryzhikh, Senoyedova, Greuli, Kolesnikova, Orlova, Eliseeva, Mustafaeva, Yakovenko, Razvorotneva.
From the first minutes, the guests, as expected, began to play first and seized the territorial advantage. The home team rarely left their half of the field and defended very tightly - it was not easy to break such a defense. The first aimed shot at the Sochi goal was made by Eliseeva, but the goalkeeper averted the threat. If the opponents were just getting used to each other and getting used to each other, then the best at first were our fans who went to support the team in Sochi - you could hear them throughout the entire meeting.
The blue and white attacked more and more dangerously - Eliseeva made a header and earned a corner, followed by Razvorotneva threatening Vladimirova's goal. Her counterpart Shchervyanina had no work at all, and Nastya entered the game for the first time only in the 17th minute, when the Sochi players were able to reach the Dynamo penalty area.
Time passed, the game situation seemed to favor the guests, there were chances, but difficulties arose with the implementation - the last pass, the last touch, the last run were missing. The Dynamo players turned each other on, calling on them to play faster, more actively and score as quickly as possible, but they failed to achieve the main thing. The Sochi coach was also not satisfied with his team’s performance, and it was the hosts who decided to make a substitution first – not even 25 minutes had passed since the starting whistle.
The goal was brewing, and the Dynamo team used the first standard chance. Mustafaeva beat half of the Sochi defense, earned a free kick, Orlova approached the point, powerfully shot, the ball bounced to Razvorotneva, and after her cross, Eliseeva brought the ball into the goal - 0:1.
The goal that was scored liberated the blue and white team a little, the girls began to act more confidently, as a result of which a lot of things began to happen. And the second goal was only a matter of time. The scoring attack went through the center, Greuli passed to Yakovenko, after which Kristina rolled to Kolesnikova, and Polina hit the Sochi goalkeeper – 0:2. Our team went into the break with a comfortable two-goal lead.

The score allowed for changes to be made, and in the second half four new players appeared on the field at once: Golubeva, Skotnikova, Demidov and Leontyev were replaced by Orlova, Ryzhikh, Yakovenko and Shchervyanina.
The hosts increased their aggression and speed, the Sochi players began passing into the penalty area, and the number of approaches to Leontyeva’s goal increased. However, the game was still played out with a noticeable advantage for Dynamo, and all the moments in the opponent’s performance were only episodic.
In the 56th minute, Eliseeva ran to make a double, but the one-on-one was unsuccessful - the ball hit the Sochi goalkeeper directly. Skotnikova had a good chance, but her shot was blocked by the entire Sochi defense. The opponent began to act tougher, after the clashes Kolesnikova, Greuli and Razvorotneva suffered, but everyone continued the game. But Skotnikov had to be changed - the hosts’ defender literally flew into her, and Ksyusha left the field only with the help of medical personnel. Linnikova entered the game instead.
The meeting ended with Sochi having a slight advantage, but Dynamo eventually took their three points. Thanks to this victory, the blue and whites secured second place in Group D.
