In the final match of the season, the blue-whites played back two goals and tied with the team from the Moscow region (2:2)
On Saturday, the youth team of WFC Dynamo played their final match of the season at home in Novogorsk. The team led by Mikhail Kobyakov missed the previous round, thus having an opportunity to conduct a full training cycle for the match. In addition, three players from the main team came to help the youth team in the game against Master-Saturn: Tanya Malesia, Taisiya Razvorotneva and Daniela Petrova.
Unfortunately for the Dynamos, already in the opening minutes of the meeting, the visitors launched a good attack — in the 2nd minute of the match, Alisa Stelmakhova scored an incredibly beautiful goal, sending the ball right into the goal of Maria Leontieva after a cross from the right flank.
Less than 10 minutes after the first goal, Margarita Litvinenko, making an accurate pass behind Tanya Malesia's back, brought Sofya Nemtseva one-on-one with the Dynamo goalkeeper. The Saturn striker took advantage of her opportunity, beating the goalkeeper and doubling her team's lead.
To be fair, the Dynamos were able to score one goal back quite quickly — after a great diagonal pass from Anastasia Orlova and an accurate finish of a one-on-one situation by Valeria Azeeva
Overall, despite the abundance of goals from the first minutes, the game was full of tackles, fouls and set pieces. Master Saturn posed a threat mainly through their right flank and after set pieces, which our defense coped with. The most dangerous moment came in the 35th minute when the visitors had an opportunity to score a one-on-one, but Maria Leontyeva saved the day with her beautiful save, keeping our team in the game.
The result of the first 45 minutes is an interesting game with plenty of chances for both teams, three goals scored and a lot of set pieces
In the break of the match, there was a triple substitution in the Dynamo team — Anastasia Shchervyanina, Nicole Greuli and Ulyana Ryzhikh appeared on the field.
Our girls started the second half of the match with confident ball control and several approaches to the opponent's goal. The first 10 minutes of the second half, thanks to active pressing, the Dynamo players practically did not leave the other half of the field.
Nevertheless, this did not prevent a dangerous shot after dribbling on the flank by the ubiquitous Valeria Kuznetsova — the ball hit the post first, and after the finish, Shchervyanina played well. By the way, more than once our goalkeeper managed to react well and ward off danger from her goal. Dynamo defenders were also awake — at the 69th minute, Anastasia Orlova fearlessly blocked a shot on goal and saved the team from the third missed goal.
As for Dynamo attacks, Mikhail Kobyakov's wards responded with dangerous penetrating passes, whipping up the pace of play to the limit. Which eventually brought success to our team right under the curtain of the meeting.
At the 83rd minute, Dana Petrova, after a great pass from Varvara Demidova, managed to outplay the goalkeeper Elizaveta Larchenkova and sent the ball into the far corner of the goal. The girls did not stop there, but only added more emotions, movement and activity, creating dangerous attacks one after another. However, the white-blue team did not have enough time to score the coveted three points
In the final match of the season, our team got a hard-fought draw, having managed to turn the tide of the game after conceding two quick goals.
