The blue and white team lost to Rubin U-21 (1:2) in the capital of Tatarstan.
The Dynamo youth team spent the three-week break that occurred in the Youth League right in the middle of the season with benefit. Firstly, our team had time to properly rest and take a breath after a not very successful start to the final stage of the championship.
Secondly, Varvara Rubtsova and Anna Sugrobova managed to recover in time for the game in Kazan; they suffered ruptured crosses last season and underwent surgery and a long recovery period. They were included in the application for the first time this year.
Finally, new faces appeared on the team. 17-year-old forward Daria Popova, who moved to Moscow from Krasnodar, also went with the blue and white to Kazan.
And the opponent was the most suitable one. Rubin, like Dynamo, occupied 8-9 lines in the standings with one point and wanted to improve their position. The same goes for the Dynamo cars, because Mikhail Kobyakov’s team went to Kazan only for victory.
The starting lineup on the Labor Reserves field (the game from the FC Rubin Academy stadium was moved right in the middle of the week) included Leontyeva, Senoyedova, Greuli, Ryzhikh, Orlova, Petrova, Eliseeva, Azeeva, Skotnikova, Yakovenko and Razvorotneva. In the first minutes, the visitors were sharper, more often using the right flank of the attack - Yakovenko played great there, and Eliseeva and Razvorotneva were also moving. In the fifth minute, Tasya earned a dangerous free kick in the immediate vicinity of the goalkeeper, but Orlova’s serve turned out to be inaccurate.
The activity in the opposing half of the field yielded results already in the 11th minute. Anastasia Us went too far out of the goal, carried the ball straight to Eliseeva, and Sveta gracefully threw it over the Rubin goalkeeper - 0:1.
The game, on the whole, was equal. This was confirmed by the numbers: after a third of the first half, the ratio of ball possession was 50% to 50%. The hosts began to approach the guests' penalty area more and more often, but they mostly shot from afar, and inaccurately. And the rubies eventually achieved their goal. Even before the end of the first half of the match, the score became equal. In the 33rd minute, the Kazan women dispersed the attack on the left flank, after which the pass went to the center, and Stanovova lit up the scoreboard 1:1.
“Rubin” perked up and ran forward. Leontieva came to the rescue a couple of times, but players in red uniforms appeared more and more often at her goal. Unfortunately, the Dynamos were allowed into the locker room - in the 45th minute, Kirlasheva sent the second goal into the goal of the blue and whites.
The blue and white celebrate their only goal scored in Kazan
After the break, Anastasia Linnikova entered the field, replacing Ryzhikh. The Dynamo team became more active in the opponent's half of the field, carried out several interesting attacks, but they did not score goals. There was more fighting and martial arts in the game; no one wanted to give in or give up.
In the 70th minute, Sugrobova and Popova entered the game, replacing Orlova and Razvorotneva. For Dasha this is her debut for the Dynamo youth team, for Anya this is her first game since last year. Rubtsova entered the field for the last 15 minutes, for whom this was also the first match in 14 months.
At the very end, the hosts were left with ten men, when Rubin captain Yana Sazonova was sent off for the second warning. The guests made a real attack on the Ruby team's penalty area, but, unfortunately, it did not lead to anything.
Alas, our team did not manage to get the most out of it that day on the “Labor Reserves” field. A lot of effort was made, but the fact remains that the blue and whites failed to take at least one point from Kazan.
