Team status

In the 7th round of the Super League, our team went to the most difficult trip of the season - to distant Krasnoyarsk. It should be immediately noted that in the first 5 matches of the season, Dynamo practically completed the program for long-distance and logistically complex away games: the blue and whites have already played in Krasnodar, Rostov-on-Don and now in Krasnoyarsk. Of the distant trips, only Perm remains, but it will be in mid-October. In general, in the next 9 matches, Dynamo will play 7 games (!) at home and only two away matches - in Ryazan and in Moscow with Spartak. That is, almost three months - from the beginning of May to the beginning of August - Sergei Lavrentiev’s wards will spend in the capital region. But we really shouldn’t forget that among the opponents at this time there will be CSKA, Zenit, and the same Spartak. So you definitely won’t be bored!

In the meantime, in Krasnoyarsk, our girls fought for their fifth victory in a row and the opportunity to maintain their place in the top three. Despite the status of the opponent - Enisey occupies a place at the bottom of the standings - the match turned out to be completely difficult for the favorites from Moscow. The game was played with mutual chances - both teams had chances during the first half to open the scoring, but failed to capitalize on them. Unfortunately for the blue and white, already in the 29th minute Irina Dricheva was forced to leave the field, replacing the injured Fauzia Nazhemba at the start. And also because of damage. The midfielder was replaced by Tijana Matic.

In the second half, as has become customary for our team this season, the blue and whites improved - both in movement, and in pressure, and most importantly, in chances. One of them, in the 62nd minute, finally ended with Yenisei scoring a goal. It was Elena Shesterneva who took advantage of the mistake of the Krasnoyarsk defense: Yenisei defender Karina Mamedova unsuccessfully threw the ball into the center of the penalty area right under the header of the Dynamo attacker - and she played flawlessly, sending it into the empty corner of Angelina Tsirulnikova’s goal.

And although the spectators did not see any more goals scored by Dynamo until the end of the match, the Muscovites achieved the main thing - they won and took three points from a difficult trip. By the way, the blue and white not only won, but also did not concede again - already in the fourth Super League match out of five played.

And, of course, we cannot fail to note another pleasant event for our team in this match. In the 76th minute of the match, Galina Geibieva came on as a substitute instead of Kaylan Williams and set a historical achievement - she was the first Dynamo player to play her 50th match for our club!

— As usual, there are no easy games in Krasnoyarsk. “Enisey” is a very interesting team, plus time zones, so it’s always difficult to play here, you have to play on your character. I’m glad that we played just such a game today, — head coach of the Dynamo Football Club Sergei Lavrentyev summed up the results of the difficult game in Krasnoyarsk.

Blue and White midfielder Kristina Komissarova also agreed with her mentor’s assessments of her game:

— It was a tough game, it’s always tough to play in Krasnoyarsk. Indoor arena, large field, but we managed, practically fulfilled the coach’s instructions. The most important thing is that we won.

Success in Krasnoyarsk allowed the Dynamo team not only to continue its winning streak, but also to rise one line higher in the standings. Dynamo pushed Zenit, which missed this round, out of second place, and is now only three points behind championship leader CSKA, with a game in hand. It seems that the fight for the top three this season will be simply crazy!

About the opponent

The next opponent of the blue and white is the capital's ZhFK Chertanovo. One of the oldest clubs in Russian women's football, founded back in 1989 in Malakhovka near Moscow on the basis of the Moscow State Academy of Physical Culture (MGAFK). Over the course of 8 years, he changed several names: while based in Malakhovka - MOGIFK (1989), SKIF (1990-92), "SKIF-Femina" (1993), after moving to Moscow in 1994 - "Chertanovo-SKIF" (1994- 96), “Chertanovo” (from 1997 to the present).

And although the team has been playing in the Major League since 2014, the Chertanovsky club, as well as its star students, have plenty of achievements. The most successful season for Chertanovka was 2018, when they became silver medalists at the Russian Championship. Muscovites have won bronze medals at the championship four times, the last time in 2017. In the same 2017, ZhFK Chertanovo reached the final of the Russian Cup, but lost there to the revived CSKA, for which this title became the first in history.

Achievements: silver (2018) and bronze (1991, 1992, 1993, 2017) medalist of the USSR/Russian championship, finalist of the Russian Cup (2017), semi-finalist of the Commonwealth Champions Cup among women's teams (1996).

Last season, Chertanovki were unable to break into the top six teams and compete for medals, so they went together with the teams from the bottom half of the standings to fight for places from 7th to 12th. I must say, they did this relatively successfully: according to the results of the final stage, the Muscovites became second, and took 8th place in the overall championship standings. In the Russian Cup, the capital team advanced to the 1/8 finals of St. Petersburg Zvezda (1:0) on the road, but in the home quarterfinals it was defeated in the derby by Lokomotiv (0:7).

In the off-season, the coaching staff headed by Vasily Marunyak left the team, who went to Samara, and Chertanovo was headed by the former head coach of the youth team of the Zenit Football Club, Alexey Tarasyuk. In the 2023 season, the 35-year-old specialist led the St. Petersburg youth team to youth championship medals for the first time in history - the blue-white-blue team won silver medals, although they fought with CSKA for gold until the very end.

But things are not going well for the ex-mentor of the vice-champions in the capital’s club. Chertanovka began the new season with two drawn matches at home: Ryazan-VDV (1:1) and Super League debutant Spartak (0:0). But then we fell into a series of 4 defeats in a row: from Zvezda 2005, CSKA, Krasnodar and Rostov with a total goal difference of 4-11... As a result of this depressing series - only 2 points scored and 11th place in the Super League standings, with one of the worst goals scored and goals conceded in the league.

Actually, with this series and in this state, the Muscovites are approaching their third capital derby this season - against Dynamo. By the way, the blue and white have held one derby so far, in which, as we well remember, they defeated Lokomotiv (3:0).

As for the changes in the composition of the Chertanovo club this off-season, in addition to coaching changes, then, of course, this is the departure of the long-time leader of Chertanovo, Yulia Bessolova, from the team, who moved to Dynamo and is now leading the blue and white to matches with the captain’s armband, and addition of a whole group of female football players from Zenit. Defender Ksenia Oleksyuk, midfielder Zarina Sharifova and striker Maria Koptsova came to Chertanovo on loan. All three players last season played for the Zenit youth team under the leadership of Alexey Tarasyuk and became silver medalists in the Youth League, while Sharifova played 4 matches and scored one goal for the main team and contributed to Zenit’s championship in the Super League.
