Team status
The previous match, our team played after a long break in the Super League. The white-blue spent almost a month without official games: the last meeting within the championship took place on August 17th. After that, Sergei Lavrentiev's players went on a short vacation, returned and started to resume the season, which was scheduled for September 14th.
The final part of the very difficult season for Dynamo had to start on the banks of the Volga — in Samara against Krylia Sovetov. It seemed like the opponent was suitable for a new start of the season: firstly, the Volzhanka women's team won only two victories in the Super League at their home ground this season and one in the Winline Cup of Russia, there were draws and defeats in the rest.
Secondly, even for the status of a strong middle peasant in this championship, Alexander Mikhnovets' wards have not yet played enough. For example, Krylya won their first victory in the Super League only in the 9th match of the season. And the place that the Samara club occupies in the standings (shares the 11th-12th line with Chertanovo) clearly indicates that the white-blue could take three points from the banks of the Volga. But everything turned out to be not as simple as it seemed before the game
In many ways, this is due to the same old problems that plagued the team a month ago: neither the main central defender Helena Bozic nor the main forward Fauziya Najemba have recovered from their injuries. So the coaching staff of the blue-whites had to field an exotic pair of defenders in the center of defense such as Kaylan Williams – Elina Samoilova, on the left flank of attack the nominal defender Maria Galay, and entrust the role of center forward to Kristina Komissarova, who is more inclined to play under the forwards.
In justification of such cardinal changes in the starting lineup of Dynamo, it should be noted that the coaching idea partially paid off. Since already in the 10th minute of the meeting, the blue and whites opened the scoring, and it was done by Komissarova who found herself at the forefront of the Dynamo attack and literally hammered the ball into the net of the Samara goal after a successful ricochet from a Samara player.
On the whole, the beginning of the meeting in Samara remained with the Dynamo players, who did well, including in combination play. Who knows what the final score of the match would have been if the captain of the blue and white Yulia Bessolova had converted her two killer chances, which she just missed to score
But everyone has long known the basic football truths, so what happened soon after those moments could hardly surprise anyone. In the 34th minute, Nadezhda Ilyinykh, the captain of the "Wings of Soviets", together with her teammates, took advantage of the uncertain actions of Dynamo defenders and scored a goal, equalizing the score and putting an end to the confident play of the white-blue in the first half hour.
Moreover, already at the end of the first half, the home team took the initiative into their own hands and literally pinned our girls to the gate, so much so that the Dynamo players thought more about the break than the home team, who seemed to be in the outsider status of this match.
A small hope for a successful outcome of the Samara trip for Muscovites seemed to flash right after the break, when the Dynamo women again actively started the time. But 15 minutes after the teams left the locker rooms, the game calmed down, which was fine for the Wings, but should not have been fine for Dynamo players.
Apart from a long-range, but coolly conceived cross by Galay, which never flew into the goal of Kristina Fedorova, our girls did not create anything super dangerous in the second half. Even the appearance of Jose-Diana Pamen Tchato as a central defender, which allowed Williams to move to her native position in attack, did not help
And then the hosts themselves became more active, creating such moments near our goal that if not for Diana Ponomaryova defending them, it is doubtful whether our girls could have even taken a draw from Samara.
Perhaps it was this kind of host activity and their dangerous attacks that prevented the Dynamo players from launching a final assault on the Samara goal to snatch victory after all. The result was a guest draw, which hardly anyone on the Dynamo team can be happy with.
"It's hard to say anything now, we need to analyze, watch the game. We came to Samara for the win."
In fact, they started well, scoring quickly. Then some kind of languor set in, and "Wings" responded with a goal. After that, it was like a clash of titans, neither side wanted to give in, there were chances for both teams, — completely understandable comments after the final whistle by the head coach of the WFC Dynamo Sergey Lavrentiev.
The white-blue defender Jose-Diana Pamen Tchato tried to figure out the reasons for what happened:
- In my opinion, we lacked audacity and some sharp moments to win. We scored one point – not the result we were counting on. At the same time, we must pay tribute to the opponent – the girls from "Wings" played aggressively. Probably, such tight games are decided in micro-episodes, which we lacked today.
Now there are no pushover opponents when you come and think that the game will be a walkover. Every match is tough, as this meeting showed.
Despite the fact that the blue-whites interrupted their losing streak in the Super League (there were three consecutive defeats before the game in Samara), the gap from the third place, now occupied by Spartak Moscow, has increased and amounts to 8 points already. Even taking into account the reserve game of the blue-whites, much in the fight for medals is no longer in our team's hands
It was very difficult for our girls in Samara

About the opponent
The next opponent of the white-blues is the WFC Enisey. The club from Krasnoyarsk was founded back in 1987 on the basis of the Krasnoyarsk State Pedagogical Institute under the name "Methodology". Then it changed its name several times until in 2011 it finally received its current name "Enisey".
The Siberian club has not only a relatively long history for Russian women's football, but also great successes. For example, victory in the 1991 USSR Cup - the only cup trophy in women's football played out in Soviet history, as well as bronze medals in the Russian Championship (1995).
WFC Enisey has been playing in the Super League since 2017. The club from Krasnoyarsk also distinguished itself in this tournament: starting from the first season in the top league of Russian women's football and further, the Krasnoyarsk team took 7th place for 6 years in a row, regardless of the format of the championship and the number of its participants. This amazing tradition was interrupted by the Krasnoyarsk team only last season, finishing in 10th place among 12 participants.
This season, the team of Evgeny Portnov, who has been heading Enisey since 2022, risks if not repeating last year's result, then at least performing no worse. As in previous seasons, the Krasnoyarsk team is performing quite inconsistently. A clear illustration of this is the series they have already had this season. So, they started with a draw and a win, then lost 6 matches in a row, and then it was like a swing: a draw and two wins - two losses - two wins - a draw and a loss. In short, the team is thrown into heat and cold.
As a result, before the meeting with Dynamo, Enisey is in 8th place: it has 5 wins, 3 draws, 9 losses and a goal difference of 12-28. By the way, in terms of the number of goals scored, the Krasnoyarsk club is one of the worst in this championship. Only Rubin (9) and Krylia Sovetov (8) have scored less. And in terms of playing in defense, the Krasnoyarsk women are not at all ideal - according to this indicator, they are in the top 5 most conceding teams in the Super League.
However, all this does not prevent Yenisei from still claiming its best result in the top league. Only one point separates it from 7th place, which, as we remember, was recently the favorite for the Krasnoyarsk club, but only a little - 4 points - from the record for Krasnoyarsk 6th place. So the Krasnoyarsk football players still have a lot of motivation. Which, of course, on the eve of the meeting with Dynamo, should at least keep them in good shape.
Another reason for the motivation of the Krasnoyarsk club is the history of the confrontation with the white-blues. So far, Krasnoyarsk has not won a single game against Dynamo in the Super League. Moreover, they have never scored against Dynamo goalkeepers.
In general, it is necessary to note a surprising fact in the history of the confrontation between Dynamo and Yenisei: all three matches between them ended with the same score - 1:0 in favor of the white-blues. Moreover, Dynamo has more away wins than home ones (two in Krasnoyarsk against one in Novogorsk).
It will not be easy for Krasnoyarsk to break this sad streak (without wins and goals scored). This season, Yenisei wins and scores very rarely on the road in the Super League: in 8 matches, 5 defeats, one draw and only two wins, 4 (!) goals scored and 15 goals conceded.
