Team Status
In the previous round, the white-blues hosted the youth team of the Women's Football Club Rostov, which had not scored any points in the final stage before this meeting and was at the bottom of the standings. However, our team does not have many more points yet - Mikhail Kobyakov's charges have not won at this stage either, and the only point so far was scored thanks to a goalless draw with Krasnodar. It is not surprising that the Dynamo girls were extremely motivated for the game. In addition, the recently injured Anastasia Gnennaya and Arina Volobueva, who were so missed in the last matches, returned to the starting lineup. In addition, on the eve of the meeting, midfielder Ulyana Golovanova, who previously played for the Moscow Region UOR No. 5 Master-Saturn, was added to the list of the youth team of the white-blues. However, it was the Rostov players who started the game more actively, who were not shy about pressing widely, went into the selection and generally felt like they owned the Novogorsk field. Which almost immediately bore fruit: already in the 15th minute, the visiting team's midfielder Anna Pavlova, taking advantage of the confusion in Maria Leontyeva's penalty area, put her team ahead - 0:1.
Literally in the next attack, the visiting team had the opportunity to double the advantage, but after a crazy powerful shot, the ball hit the crossbar. What was happening on the field did not suit the Dynamo coaching staff, and changes came already in the first half, when in the 30th minute Nicole Greuli replaced Ksenia Skotnikova.
However, at the very end of the first half, the white-blues conceded a second goal from Svetlana Vinnikova and it became really difficult. But even after that, the picture of the game in the second half did not change much: the Rostov girls responded to the Dynamo players’ attempts to recoup with their own counterplay, and quite successfully. And yet, gradually, the white-blues’ attacking play began to improve – there were chances, but they still lacked precision in the final stage, and their implementation was disappointing. Thus, the Dynamo players could have scored at least three times: Arina Volobueva, Valentina Senoedova, who came onto the field, and especially Anastasia Orlova, but each time the girls lacked something.
And yet, the Dynamo players did not leave the field without a goal. In the 77th minute, the white-blues played a quick and beautiful combination: Valeria Azeeva accelerated the attack along the right flank, passed to Daniella Petrova, she rolled to the free Orlova, and Anastasia sent the ball against the Rostov goalkeeper – 1:2. There was still time to get even, and the goal scored should have given the hosts confidence. But no matter how hard the Novogorsk hosts tried to send a second ball into the Rostov goal, they failed to do so. Thus, Dynamo suffered another, already the 7th this season, defeat in the Youth League, and the winless streak of the white-blues is already 8 matches (6 defeats, 2 draws). At the same time, the Dynamo footballers score very little - in these 8 games without victories, they have scored only 4 goals.

Anastasia Orlova's goal did not save the white-blues from another defeat, this time to Rostov
About the opponent, the historic match in Novogorsk, the refereeing team
The youth team of the WFC Krylia Sovetov, the opponent of the white-blues in the 7th round, played its first season in the Youth League in 2022, the same season as the WFC Dynamo. However, if that season was absolutely the debut in Russian women's football for our team, the Samara team had played in the First League for two years before that and even won bronze medals there (2021).
The Samara football players were able to repeat their success in the Youth League: in their very first season, the team led by Galina Komarova won bronze medals in the youth championship, behind only the capital's Dynamo and Lokomotiv.
Surprisingly, Dynamo and Krylia did the same in the following season. However, this time with a minus sign. Both teams failed to break into the top eight and were forced to fight for 9th-16th places in the second part of the championship. But if Dynamo performed more or less satisfactorily here (final 10th place in the championship), then the team from Samara became the worst at the end of the season: Alexander Nikulin's charges took the last place in the table, having won only one victory and showing a goal difference of 7-34. In many ways, this result, of course, is explained by the fact that most of that bronze team of Krylia-2022 became the main team for the main team playing in the Super League. Again, the situation is similar to what was in the youth Dynamo in the same season-2023. This season, Krylia, although not considered contenders for either medals or a place in the top 5, are performing well, and sometimes even very brightly. For example, in the first group stage, the Samara team lost only to the leader of their group B, Krasnodar, and won the rest of the games, and twice very big - they crushed Voronezh's Fakel 9:0 away and 11:0 at home (a club record)!
In the second stage, it became, of course, more difficult for the Volga team to win. Nevertheless, they have already won two victories here (over Spartak and Rubin) and tied with Zenit (1:1). It should be noted that at this stage, Krylia Sovetov have been scoring points exclusively at home, but they have not yet been able to do so away: 3 defeats from Lokomotiv, CSKA and Master-Saturn and only one goal scored.
In the 2024 season, Krylia Sovetov is headed by 29-year-old Maria Cherepanova. Before this season, the young specialist worked with the youth teams of the Samara club academy.
In the current composition of the Samara team, several young football players stand out for their productivity: 15-year-old (!) striker and top scorer Ekaterina Sarvilina (5 goals), 16-year-old midfielder Lyudmila Zaika (4 goals), 17-18-year-old midfielders Ruslana Sheshunova, Susanna Dallakyan, Ekaterina Nikiforova and Ekaterina Dianova (all - 3 goals). The main goalkeeper is 20-year-old Alina Pogosyan (10 goals conceded in 9 matches).
As for the history of the confrontation between the two clubs, the teams have played a total of 5 matches - 4 games in the Youth League and one friendly match. The advantage is on the side of Dynamo: 2 wins, 3 draws, goal difference 13-2. Among all the matches played, the meeting that took place on August 26, 2023, stands out, when the white-blues defeated the Samara team in Novogorsk with a score of 9:0! The game became historic - that victory still remains the biggest in the history of the Dynamo youth team. Ekaterina Sergeeva (hat-trick), Alana Chochieva and Kristina Yakovenko (made a double each), Daniella Petrova and Anastasia Pervushina distinguished themselves in that match. Sergeeva remains Dynamo's top scorer in the confrontation with Samara's Krylia (3 goals).
Ekaterina Sergeeva is jubilant: she scored a hat-trick against Samara's Krylia Sovetov!
The new meeting of the two clubs within the Youth League, which will be the sixth in history and take place in Novogorsk, will be officiated by a panel of referees headed by Alexandra Ponomaryova, who will be assisted by assistant referees Kristina Lapshina (both from Moscow) and Viktoria Garina (Khabarovsk).
Ponomaryova has previously worked at Dynamo matches: in the Youth League — against Yenisei (3-0), Krylia Sovetov (2-0) and Sochi (7-0); in the Super League — twice against Ryazan-VDV (5-0 and 2-0), as well as against Zenit (0-5), Rostov (1-0) and Zvezda-2005 (2-1); in the Russian Cup — in the 1⁄8 finals against CSKA (1-4).
Dynamo’s record under Ponomaryeva’s refereeing: 9 matches — 7 wins, 2 losses, goal difference 23-10.
