Today, Maria Galay, a defender of the WFC Dynamo, celebrates her birthday.
Maria was born in Omsk, where she started her football career under the guidance of her first coach, Evgenia Ivanova, as part of the Omsk Irtysh. A little later, Galay won bronze medals of the Russian championship in the first division together with the club.
At the age of 20, Galay made her debut in the top league of Russian women's football, but already as part of Perm Zvezda-2005. Over 7 seasons with the Ural club, Galay became a 3-time champion of Russia (2014, 2015, 2017), won the Russian Cup three times (2013, 2015, 2016), and became silver (2013, 2016) and bronze (2018) medalist of the top league of the Russian Championship.
In subsequent years, the defender played in Belarus for WFC Minsk and also for Lokomotiv Moscow.
Since January 2024, Maria Galay has been a player for Dynamo Moscow. As part of our club, she has already played 22 matches, scored one goal, and made two assists.
