Sergey Lavrentiev: "The game didn't solve anything, they let the girls play freely"

The head coach of the Dynamo Football Club commented on the results of the winning match in Kazan (4:2).

— Both Rubin and Dynamo knew their places in the final standings in advance. What was the goal pursued in today's match?

— They told the girls that the game doesn't solve anything, so they gave them the opportunity to play a little freely, experiment, try new bundles. In this microcycle, we paid a lot of attention to attacking actions. In a word, there were experiments that both turned out and not very well.

— And yet Dynamo led 2-0, then the opponent equalized the score. Is this the result of the experiments you are talking about, or a combination of circumstances?

— No, this is not the result of experiments. In fact, this is the merit of Rubin and weak actions in our central zone. We led 2-0 and thought that this would continue, although at the same time we focused on the fact that Rubin is a good team in transitions, the players know how to play individually. We lost the rebound zone, from which, in principle, those two goals came.

During the break, we made adjustments, blocked the necessary zones and brought the match to its logical conclusion.
