Sergei Lavrentyev: “We could have relieved all the tension by scoring at the end”

The head coach of Dynamo summed up the results of the match of the 14th round of the Super League with Krasnodar (1:0).

— Did you expect exactly the kind of game from Krasnodar that they showed?

— On the eve of the match, I said that Krasnodar is a tough team, and the game turned out exactly like that. The only thing is that we could relieve all the tension by scoring those chances that we created at the end of the meeting. Then the ending would have been less nerve-wracking. Apparently, we just love to overcome difficulties.

— In the second half of the second half, Krasnodar improved very powerfully. What do you attribute this to?

— We started the second half more actively, created several dangerous chances, earned corners, free kicks, and scored a goal. Then Krasnodar made the game extremely simple through long takeaway passes, and it is always difficult to act against such tactics.

— How would you evaluate the goalkeeper’s performance?

— The goalkeeping game will be assessed by Vitaly Sergeevich Shadrin (goalkeeping coach of the Dynamo Football Club - Note from the press service). If the goalkeeper kept a clean sheet, it means he did everything right.

— What can you say about the attacking group?

— It’s good that we scored from a set piece, but it would be desirable to score from the game.
